Licenses for harvesting game animals, fishing, collecting wood, have been around for thousands of years. Usually the local lord would do it for economic reasons, to enforce his monopoly, but also to control the depletion rate of the resources. Like it or not, if you are on land that belongs to someone else (government land belongs to some rich Jews, it sucks but whatever), you can’t just do whatever the fuck you want and harvest it’s resource potential for yourself.
Now on the other hand licenses for weapons are a relatively new thing. In very rare circumstances, people would be restricted from owning weapons in history, usually to control them or humiliate them. But a big broad licensing of weapons is very very modern and has no “good” reason behind it.
Restrictions and having to pay just to do something are two different things. Permits and licenses do not stop anyone from breaking the rules. Facts! Never have never will. It's just another tax on your rights. I have my own land. Why do I need to buy one of your cuck licenses?
I disagree. Restrictions and paid circumvention of restrictions go hand in hand.
I will agree with you that licenses or permits to do something on your land or with your resources is a violation of your God-given rights and in fact, theft of God’s gift. If you only own part of a river or part of an oil field, there should be some reasonable quote based on your % share you are allowed to extract.
