People never understand trees are carbon neutral. They absorb CO2 when growing but release the same CO2 when they burn or die.

If you use a forced combustion wood stove to heat your house it’s carbon neutral and doesn’t make soot. CO2 isn’t bad, it is necessary for plants to grow, reduce it and all world crops produce less. Now pollution, of actual nasty chemicals, that’s read bad and the whole world needs to use way less chemicals.

CO2 isn't bad any more than water is bad. Both are necessary for life. Try filling up the atmosphere with water and see how good for life it is, though. I think Noah could clue you in.

The first time I heard the whole "rising CO2 is bad!" I snorted and glanced over at my planted fish tank with a "CO2 generator" attached to it. CO2 is great for plants. Plants are good for everything else. But now they are changing CO2 to just "carbon" which is even dumber.

Nobody says CO2 is "bad" by itself. CO2 absorbs infrared. It's like blacktop in the sun.

It's true, but it's CO2 that was pulled from the atmosphere relatively recently (in geologic terms). That nets to zero.

We need more CO2, not less. More food. More oxygen for health. It has no effect on temperature. Methane does have an impact but man made methane (mostly from rice fields) is actually a stabilizing influence.

CO2 absorbs infrared radiation. As long as you don't dispute that CO2 absorbs infrared radiation the physics are inescapable.

And then the CO2 releases an IR photon. Net Zero. Plants absorb IR radiation as well.

Are you saying CO2 fluoresces in infrared? I'm interested to see some reference material on that.

CO² on a global scale, measured in ppm, and plotted to a chart is, was, and always will be a straight line. CO² is a non issue as far as humans are concerned. Nature keeps it in check for us.

Great post!

Oh, now it makes sense that they want to cut down forests to put up solar farms.
