My sibling is an armature historian. She dug up a record showing one of adult male ancestors was sold for a "sturdy ram".
The Ulster Irish (also know as the Scots Irish) were know for family, religion, and fighting.
The fighting part got them into trouble with the English and the Irish. Many (including my ancestors) were captured and sold off as slaves (aka "indentured servants") and found their way to America.
So - you'd better bet - if the liberal crazies push thru 'reparations' for the blacks, you'd better believe I'll be making a class action suit for myself and my 3 million brethren (who are decedents of the Ulster Irish). Will be an absolute legal shit show. :)
edit: and to be clear: I'm white. Yes, white slavery was a real thing. Not something the public education likes to talk about as it distorts the narrative.
And, yes - there were black slave owners who owned other blacks as well, so there's that. (Maybe we can track down their black decedents and have them pay reparations for extra shits and grins? )
