Anybody know anything about this area? I just re-learned traveling not for work is fun as hell. So my idea is to take a short trip but without driving, so Amtrak it is (I’ve always enjoyed traveling by train anyways). Anyhow, that stop looks decent/ quiet, but seems like there’s all sort of MTA lines too. What I’m lookin for is some smallish town on the river with cool bar(s) and a decent hotel within walking distance (~2mi), not unwilling to taxi from train station. Thanks for humoring odd question, just want somewhere to walk around riverside parks and chill at bars at night that I can Amtrak to (trains are cool) Edit: of course I’m searching for all things on maps and schedules etc, but I’d love a “this town is awesome,” ha.
