Once prices calm down a bit... Gotta be manual, pretty locked in to Ford.

Top picks are 2022 2-door Bronco 7-speed! (when available), or a Focus ST 6-Speed. How bad of an idea is it to order/ buy a brand new car? Don’t care about depreciation cause I would have no plans on selling. 7speed is base model so not too pricey.

Otherwise, a tiny “rally” car getting 35mpg would be a lot of fun, used from 2017 if I recall. I’ve read they’re actually perfectly comfortable for guys my height. Race seats and whatnot.

Still keeping my stick shift Escape; I don’t want to drive it into the ground-getting close. Big truck or lil hatch?.. Would be nice to be able to tow. Also would be nice to take country road corners at 70 cause I can.

Any thoughts fellas?

I don't know if they use the same mechanism as the F150s, but I know several people with 2021/22 Fords that have malfunctioning parking brakes. They sometimes just lock on and won't release. And since they're electronic there's no cable to release manually. We've had to pound the caliper off and spin the shaft on the parking brake out by hand but then you're without rear brakes until you get it fixed. And dealerships have been unable to get parts.

Yikes. I would hate how fucking electronic a new car would be.... My Escape is so “dumb” and I love it.

I have a truck from the 80s and recently had to buy new for work. The comforts are pretty nice but all the electronics frustrate the shit out of me.

My Ford is 2010 and juust right. Traction control and side airbags, that’s enough. Suppose I could buy another, but I want big truck or small car.
