Yes they did. I tried to subscribe during the free trail period but the smart app sucked! It required you to allow them to send you push messages and to monitor all your car's telemetry. If you disabled anything, nothing worked. The car annoyed me constantly telling me, "your car started", "your car stopped", "your car is now at....", it's time for service, your windows are up/down. I couldn't fucking stand it so I had to literally call Toyota and ask them to revoke all the permissions I gave them and to cancel the service. If only the app simply started the car remotely, I may have paid. No, you got so much more than you ever wanted.
