Again, Trotsky don't invent this word, but he is one which help to make this word a thing. Like many other stuff in history. Many inventions are not product of person which is considered as 'inventor', someone else make stuff, but from one or another reason someone else is recognized, remembered as inventor. For example who invent radio?
