Well, to be fair, there were centuries of breeding that went into creating that horse. Animal husbandry was a pretty marvelous technology for what it was worth in history. The only difference is, that guy with the horse greatly admired his ancestors and was proud of his heritage. He was grateful to those that he knew propelled him into the future.
