In my country weapon like AR15 is strictly illegal. Yet, criminals use full auto weapon, mostly SMG like Heckler and Koch, because his small dimensions. So if government start to confiscate weapon, obviously they will confiscate weapon for known/legal owners. Criminals will NOT be affected at all, which is logic.
