Looking at my university graduation yearbook yesterday - sort of a nostalgic run through to see if I recognized any of the faces in that book - there were a lot of kids where I went to school, and there are thousands of photo's in this book.

All of them are white.

I don't actually remember there being many non whites at school. I can remember one, maybe two.

In Canada, at least until the last few decades, every smart person was white, with a few token exceptions, and those being from other parts of the Empire - Egypt, India. etc. If you were a doctor from Egypt (from a British medical school,) you still had to pass Canadian medical exams to earn the right to work as a doctor in Canada. That means a return to school in almost all cases.

School was merit based - you had to be able to pass the exams. Color had nothing to do with it. Either you were smart enough, or you were not. I entered in business school, and they only graduated 20%. The other 80% got weeded out, and the campus bars were filled with kids crying in their beer.

There was no discrimination except for intellect.

It was succeed or leave.

As it should be.

I don't give a fuck what color you are, if you are not smart enough to meet the grade then you don't need to be there.

They go hand and hand realistically. In the early 80s my High School was all White, was classed as one of the best schools in the area and (as much as I hated High School at the time) was a really tubular place to have to go to school. Fast forward 40ish years and this https://pic8.co/sh/k65Km1.png led to this https://pic8.co/sh/po3Jq0.png

My Alma Matter, now that it has a White enrollment rate of 6% (probably less) has a Mathematics proficiency rate of 20%, a reading proficiency rate 58% (!) but surprisingly a graduation rate of 92%.

I graduated from that school with double honors (both arts and science) but today these goblinos graduate with the State giving them gibs.

Color doesn't matter but genetics do.

edit: I like how they report that "minorities" make up 94% of the school population.
