Nice.

It really is a shame that more people didn't come together to set up a safety net for those who were fired. I'm sure the jews would do everything to subvert that effort, but there should at least have been many small scale charities set up.

And where was the church in all of this? Why are the preists not leading the way in organizing communities against tyranny?
