Yes, we can all laugh now at a group of comedians who got mixed up and went to the wrong place at the wrong time, but it isn’t a laughing matter. “My staff, who made an honest mistake, have handled themselves with aplomb. The DC police have shown themselves to be amicable and respectful. Heck, even Congress has done a great job at ensuring things were handled fairly and evenly, thanks to the cooperation of my people. “Unfortunately, a group of fun loving goofballs isn’t who Congress has to be concerned with. My little crew of lovable nobodies has shown how good people who enter a federal building while unauthorized are supposed to respond - with humility and respect. “Meanwhile, those terrorists who entered the building on January 6, under orders from Donald Trump, with the intention to harm our democracy, continue to refuse to cooperate and acknowledge. It’s taken over a year and a half! They still haven’t figured it out.
