There is no country which isn't better off today as a result of European imperialism. Even Africa came out way ahead. Though Africa is currently working to fix that by returning their counties back to pre-industrial levels. Save only where Europeans and non-Europeans are helping them.
This is not to say terrible things didn't happen with imperialism. But in general people and their societies were uplifted far beyond their own reach.
Yeah, but besides roads, sewers, schools, libraries, and aqueducts, what have the Romans ever done for us?
