These achieve the rest while giving you a limited corrective factor.

I would think it completely eliminates the capacity for love, and would be an extremely isolating life. Ultimately it would be worth it, though, given the good one could do….

Beyond that and the talking to the dead, I agree.

Nope, this is the only correct answer for an adult who cares about the future of their people. With perfect health (long lifespan, no illnesses to fuck you up), super intelligence (ability to think faster and better than anybody ever has before), and the ability to manipulate 3 events from the past...

You use your giga-brain to come up with a plan on what 3 events to change, and how to change them. You change them in a way that sets your family up to become prominent, powerful, rich, etc.. After you've made your 3 changes, upon returning to the future, you could have a utopia if your giga-brain is truly giga. This will lead to unlimited money, which funds medical research for shit like curing illnesses, improving strength, etc..

Women will be lining up to be your wife, since you are the fucking hero of time in perfect health with all of the money. You'll love one of them eventually.

The only thing that this selection precludes as possibilities is talking to the deceased, but is that really something so necessary? That's actually like the most useless choice on the menu- you could use the time travel to speak to a deceased relative while they're still alive. But there's nothing tangible to gain from this.

I'd say we have objectively made the right selection here, Paul.

I agree that it’s the right answer, but would come at the cost of being able to connect. I don’t think somebody that intelligent would be able to relate to others…. They simply wouldn’t keep up intellectually, and trying to draw them along would be a chore rather than something done for love.

I'd say we have objectively made the right selection here, Paul.

I think so too for all the reasons you stated.
