This is all about drama. For sure there is lot of empty homes own by banks, big hedge founds, etc. But they will not dare to enter these homes, because they will be kicked out in second, and probably beaten by regular or private police forces. But there is people with two or more homes which they rent, or try to renovate and sell, etc. They can become victim of this scam, especially if they are white. In some countries such shit occur. Some shitbag occupy your home and you can't do anything against it. They are protected by law, police. Shitty governments have some "explanation", this is your property but you are not allowed to force them out... or police will arrest you. In some of this countries you can't force out shitbagas during winter, hot summer, if some waman are pregnant, if they have baby, sick family member, etc. etc. btw. you still must pay taxes to your property. You just must wait to government find housing solution for this shitbagas. One day. I guess that this sound as bad SF to you, that you think that this can't happen in US. But then look around, many ab-normal stuff become new normal. So who know? In some commie states they can adopt this bullshit. So say good bye for a house you inherited from a parent or relative. Or dare to go in long vacation to grandma lake house.... you can find your own house occupied.
