And it’s made me much much funnier. MacDonald was a true master. Improving juxtaposition, timing, word choice and word order turns funny into hilarious. My sense of humor was always dry, now it’s desiccate!

Norm was a comedic genius for an old lump of coal. Hearing about his passing hurt more than any other celebrity or as much as Robin Williamson death.

Absolutely. Got me listening to Billy Joe Shaver too, who is great. I had never felt sad about a celebrity, someone who I didn’t know, passing, but damn.

Also, learned how to properly tell a bad joke

I got to drink with Billy Joe & his son a few decades back. My old boss owned a restaurant/honky tonk where Billy Joe played occasionally. Besides being the kitchen manager, I was the weekend bouncer for the shows. Got to hang with a lot of South Texas legends.

You get to parts where he basically admits he’s gay?

Read his book in which he mostly flat-out says he was molested as a kid. Dunno bout the dude’s sexuality, but he wanted and has a son, and talked very biblically conservative about sex

I only watched some of his most recent talked show stuff. Without saying he was he was basically making it clear he was. (He probably literally said he was but in a way that was supposed to be a joke but wasn’t)

Bob Saget said they “wrestled” and he was “very strong”. He was clearly saying saget got fucked in the butt.
