I often think about the plot to one of the biggest blockbuster films of the past few decades. “Avengers: Infinity War” differed from the comic books in that Thanos had altruistic intentions. He wanted to wipe out half of all living things to solve overpopulation. In the comics he did it because he was crazy.

He may have been the villain of the film, but it still plants the idea of forced depopulation in people’s heads as a viable option. In the follow‐up film people are sad about all the lost lives, but they point out a few positives like whales returning to the Hudson river.

The film writers only wanted to make Thanos different and more nuanced than the comics, but that particular script may have been green lit by someone involved in the depopulation agenda.

Huh..... Do you notice trend to make villains, especially crazy, unhinged villains, look somehow 'good guy's'. THEY try to give them all kind of excuses because they become 'evil'... this is not his fault, blame society ( white people especially ). They try to minimize his crimes, justify his behavior etc. etc. I don't believe in 'divine inspiration', even if someone use drugs or alcohol, he can create only stuff which have in his head. Stimulants can only amplify stuff which already exist in his head. It's very hard to produce stuff which you don't already have somewhere in your mind. Such stuff always look fake, weak, artificial. I'm some kind of artist, I know this from my own experience. I'm literally unable to 'create' ugly nasty, mean, sick stuff. Even for money :)
On the other hand there are people which are exactly opposite. Moves, books, games, TV series, these days are full of misery, mentally ill people, violent lunatics, etc. Modern writers enjoy to make such shit, they go in all unnecessary details.... I guess that they get boner when write about this. Sick people which produce sick stuff for sick audience. This is current state of modern mass - popular culture. My solution is to crawl in my "safe cave" and watch old movies, play old games... and sometime take look on world which burn himself in real time.
