We're having a circular argument. Glencore isn't the only cobalt supplier in the world. That's why you shifted your argument to them being the best supplier of cobalt in the world, which is debatable. I don't know enough about mining to weigh in on that and I doubt you do either.
Glencore isn't the only cobalt supplier in the world.
It's the biggest by a LARGE margin, and therefore the best positioned to offer the best prices, duh!
>Glencore is the world’s largest cobalt-mining company by a long shot, achieving estimated total production of 25,320 metric tonnes (MT) in 2021. Near-term growth in output is expected from the company’s operations in the DRC; this includes increased cobalt production at the Mutanda mine restart and at Katanga.

The Congo alone produces 100,000 metric tons of cobalt a year, so glencore is only seeing 25% of that as far as I can tell. Congo produces 70% of the world's cobalt. There's a lot more to go around. Glencore doesn't hold a complete monopoly. I'm pretty sure Tesla only needs 6,000 metric tons a year too. He could easily secure that elsewhere.
