I don't know any details about Brave but have been using them and noticed they appear to be just another search aggregator. You see the usual propaganda image results from Google, but mixed in with the images you'd actually want to find. I'm trying Yandex for kicks now. Haven't really found a search engine I'm happy with yet. I end up using a bit of everything.

Same here. No experience with Brave but at this point most search engines are such shit that you may as well just swap between multiple.
DDG used to be okay for a bit but it was just a wait till popular bait and switch.
