Thank the world trade organization.

When are you whites going to realize the United States is not an independent and free country?

You were lied to, you didn't win the independence war you were just told you did, just like all the other third world countries in the world.

This is doomer nonsense. Yes, things are bad. But they are never unrecoverable. Also, apparently, it is SO CHEAP to grow them in Argentina, pack them in Thailand and ship them to the UK/US that it is totally worth it.

Everyone here is so economically illiterate that it is astounding. Kind of like people not realizing that most of the recycled materials ends up in landfills because it is cheaper (for now) to make new plastic than recycle old plastic.

It is not doomer nonsense to understand the structure of the world government.

My neighbor has a massive Bosch pear tree that hangs over my fence, I get about 50-60 pears a year

Does it also grow spark plugs? I need a couple.

Does Mitch McConnell own a pear canning factory?

Probably because bugs have cheaper labor. I understand the meme, but if we consider the cost of shipping to be 0, this makes a bit of sense. The question is: is shipping unreasonably cheap? Is some external cost (such as environmental damage) not reflected in shipping cost. Probably.

prices go up on our end due to shipping costs, it's been that way since they started exporting all of our jobs. The companies are the only ones saving any money on labor.

Pears are a perishable product too. You figure they are having some product loss as well.

Company run by financiers.

Operations: "Guys, let's talk about the length of this supply chain. Could we maybe pack the fruit in Brazil?"

Im starting to sense a correlation against an items cost and its weight and volume while other factors influence becomes negligible in comparison

U.S raised chickens are packed in China.

I’d rather have a pear tree.
