Putin needs to evacuate all civilians and then basically sort of neutron bomb everything else left of the country with his troops at the edge of the border to keep any new people from coming in. Then he needs to let the Ukrainian citizens back in excluding the jews.

If he doesn't do that the continued influx of shoulder mounted cheap missiles that can take out tanks are going to require some other strategy that no one else is invented yet I don't think. These shoulder mounted tank busting grenades and things mean that you cannot hold territory without completely evacuating it if there are any hostiles left in that territory.

Apparently Putin has most of the as-off battalions and their foreign leadership hold up under the steel mill in maripole and is about to destroy them all. I think that's his main goal because those people won't be quite so easy to replace by the other side. And Putin has said that he doesn't want to hold the Ukrainian territory. I'm more imagined him sitting up sort of a buffer with Don bass and the other territory somewhat excluded from Ukraine which was Putin's original goal. Remember Putin's original goal really was just to push the weapons further back away from Moscow that NATO was planting in ukraine. That's really all he needs to do.
