Actually this didnt used to be such a problem, and its not just teslas by any means.

True, Rabbits will do it too. I had a coworker leave his car at an airport for 2 weeks. Got back and it wouldn't run, found out that rabbits/mice chewed up a bunch of wiring. Must have cost a lot to fix, it was a BMW.
