build an app ("muh app!" not withstanding)
store employees can accept payments
store employees pay for groceries with cash or card.
This
decouples bitcoin payments from credit card payments, maing it difficult to cut off
store employees are often young and therefore interested in bitcoin
store employees are always present when the store is open.
they then act as an exchange or converter for cash.
Anyone working in any store can therefore act as a converter/exchange of currencies, simply by participating, offering an immediate way for people to use their bitcoin in the real economy.
Think about it. John works at motherfucking walmart.
A whole group of bitcoiners in the area want to buy groceries. Dan goes to john, or better yet presses a button on his phone, to indicate hes heading to a store, or his phone shows him the location of stores with participating employees (and maybe hours available).
Dan goes, shops, pings dan with the 'im ready' button on his phone.
John shows up at the grocery line, after everything is rung up (or even before), and then accepts a btc or crypto transfer from Dan. John pays for the groceries using his regular bank card, or cash. John can't run off without paying for it on account of the fact Dan knows where he works.
This could and would work.
