When I quit the high school basketball team in 10th Grade, Coach Shermer told me that it was a waste of talent and that I was being selfish. Similarly, I should have been more cognizant just now and called the local firehouse to see if there were any active blazes, because my hose could have been used on scene and definitely saturated some of the flames.
