The Amazigh, a third of the population, also face discrimination and harassment for their former association with the French during its occupation of Algeria.

In Bulgaria, many Roma live in segregated communities, with limited accesss to healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. Isolatd from the rest of Bulgaria and blamed for the virus, these communities struggle to access clean water, electricity, and food.
