more details plz, I mean I get that the YT you view here is linked to your Google YT account (shows up in your history), so YT knows you came from here? or is it linked another way?

Youtube doesn't mind if you dont have an account with them. They'll learn who you are, anyway.

Several things happen when your browser follows a link.

youtube page collects your ip address and other "fingerprint" information that identifies you and your computer. This includes all sorts of other traitorous bullshit, including the size of your window, so even if you masked your IP address you still fall into a tiny basket of possible visitors that meets a specific fingerprint

2nd, the referrer information is passed on (by your browser) to the new website telling them precisely the page you were just on that brought you there.

3rd, Timestamps

4th, proximity of commenting on said video to "seeing" your fingerprint.

Deducing your fingerprint must be your poal alias by a simple matter of deduction.

Everything you post here goes into your google portfolio.

hmmm interesting, I must have a bunch of interesting fingerprints using so many different devices with different Linux OS/ windows devices and a few mobile phones. I hear the CIA is tapped into this data too....
