The bible is full of intolerant bits, there are terrains on which outright intolerance isn't shocking for christians, and even mandatory

It's a common mistake for conservative politicians to try to tip toe around every single social issues, believing that it would offense everybody, their base included, because they have a naive perception of christianity. As a matter of fact it's the case for most people but when you look at the history of christianity, it's clear that it is anything but all about tolerance

Even if you take only the jesus character, he was quite intolerant of the money changers, to say the least. That's why he got crucified btw according to the christian narrative

Faggotry and "filth" are traditionally frowned upon in christian societies/cultures, as a matter of fact sexual relationships outside marriage aren't even supposed to happen to begin with, at that's not christian extremism, it's the way it's been since pretty much forever

Because gay copulation is sterile, and because they are extremely promiscuous, they just see such activity as a form of play, a trivial pastime like drinking coffee or kicking a ball. They are blind to its deep emotional impact, the sacredness of an activity that generates life, and its long-term consequences. For that reason, they do not see a problem with pedophilia. They cannot conceive of the harm and violation implicit in the sexual violation of children. The gay lobby is a Trojan horse for the pedo lobby.

LGBTQ youth who come from highly rejecting families are 8.4 times as likely to have attempted suicide as their LGBTQ peers who reported no or low levels of family rejection.

Each episode of LGBTQ victimization, such as physical or verbal harassment or abuse, increases the likelihood of self-harming behavior by 2.5 times on average.

Here's what they don't tell you when they cite these stats: even in SE Asian countries where LGBTQ people are celebrated and accepted, mental health and suicide rates are still just as high as in Western Countries. Sorry, it's not the persecution, it's the lifestyle choices and behavior - they are mentally ill to begin with. This fact alone completely destroys the persecution complex they try to pander. They are not on a cross. They are mentally ill, largely childhood-abused, people, suffering through mental illness.
