My mother is 69 years-old. My father passed away 4 years ago and she basically just stays to herself with her dog. My Dad was everything to her. She had some friendships with co-workers, but of course, that pales in comparison to her relationship with her partner of over 40 years. Anyway, we never discuss dreams, but yesterday she sends me an email telling me that she had a wonderful dream where she was going to a Broadway play with my father and me and the car broke down and we were stranded, but my Uncle (her younger brother by two years who passed away last year) suddenly pulled up in a truck and fixed everything and then we were all happy together.

I'm worried because while it sounds like a grand old time and I miss my Dad and that was my favorite Uncle, a lot of times people have dreams like this when they're ready to go and I really don't want a call from the Nassau County Police telling me that my mother is gone.

It could mean nothing, I”ve had hyper real dreams of dead relatives my whole life. During most dreams I realize they’re dead, but not always. Most of my relatives do, and some find great comfort from the dreams.

On the other hand, ask her if she thinks she’s dying. My grandmother made a comment about her future burial, I found it odd and asked if she was dying. The thought she was ready to go and with no specific disease to blame it on died a few months later. Your mother may have something to tell you, but she may be worried about your reaction. Everyone dies, accept that and try to help her on her journey when it’s her time.

Don't live in fear, or you'll die before your death.

Spoke to her last night and had a Kobe steak dinner sent to her.

People have had dreams about dead relatives forever. Consider it a blessing. I wouldnt conclude that its a signal for your mothers passing.
