My wife has a daughter from a previous relationship and we wanted her to have the same name as the rest of the family. "OMG It's just a name! Dad, it's not the end of the world," I said to him on the phone.

So if it was just a name then why was it such a big deal for you to have the same last name as your wife's daughter?
