The Indians with bows and arrows fought us to a stalemate until the repeating rifle and revolver was invented. Because of this we honor them by naming things after them. Attack helicopters (example, Apache) used to be a thing and then woke women and fags decided honoring them was condemnation.
Sports is considered low intensity warfare. In the same vein, a sports team was named after them for their historical fighting prowess. Once again honor is considered condemnation.
No one seems to care about the Spartans though. Then it is just as you say. It is all virtue signalling BS.
sports are pretty much what stops healthy military aged men fighting men not fight each other. we bag the fuck out of 'sportsball' and im not a football fan, never have been (australian handeggball) but it really should be encouraged, just not worshipped as it is.
Unfortunately when it comes to sports with a large player base of 'people of colour' they still fighting each other anyway because they dont seem to have evolve past tribal society.
Yep. Tribalism and socialism/communism.
