I struggle with it. I cope after by pretending it was just me being "passionate", but I have seen how Men act and it's something I strive for.

I can keep my cool but I'm not anywhere near as effective as I'd like to be, and I'm always worried some Nazi shit will slip out by accident. I also haven't developed a clear strategy for how I want to deal with normies (the mental steps I want them to reach) and I think you need to have that going in.

I'm way more persuasive in a textual format where I have at least a short delay to think.

Debate is a skill that takes focused practice and I haven't put that work in yet.

Sometimes I will stumble because I have to prove things that, for a long time I've known to be true.

I know the issue is that they are ignorant. I hate WILLFULLY ignorant people. Unfortunately some are bound to me by blood and that will not be broken in my eyes. I just feel that I shouldn't need to be anyone's educator if they want to debate a topic. Assholes need to stop having opinions on shit they refuse to learn about. Sigh.

We aren't all encyclopedias. It can be frustrating to have to pull up your phone for 20 minutes to find your sources to something you have internalized and don't always have to explain to others.

Do be careful with this one. It is a tactic to continually bring up "where's the source" to interrupt a conversation. It might be wise to disconnect and tell your interrupter to go do their own research on their own time. And if they are too busy for that, you charge $300/hr.

People who are actually interested however, tend to write down your sources for later research on their own. These people are actually worth talking to.

Well said. I'm struggling with the fact that there are people with doctorates in science who are ignoring the scientific process of rational thought. It doesn't make sense to me but is a reality that I am living in.
