I live in a pretty Christian area, plenty of denominations to be found here. Went to a Methodist church years ago, didn’t mind the Lutheran Church I went to with an ex gf. Any thoughts on what’s good these days?

Figure getting involved in a church is what I should do. Need to find something worthwhile to spend time on, plus it’d be fun to un-fuck a church audio rig just for shits and giggles.

It's near impossible to find a church that just opens the Bible and teaches and practices what's therein without adding some level of fuckery. I haven't been to a formal church in years. I know a small handful of other Christians in the same position and we get together as we are able .

No need for a church other than social reasons. Everything is in the bible

There is definitely strength and accountability in a like-minded group. But yes. Attendance for the sake of attendance is nowhere to be found.

I am looking for a social thing. Branded by Christ is hopefully good. Gettin bored with the other townie drunks.

Measure them by the words in red in the Bible. If any of their doctrine disagrees with those words, move on. Good luck finding one that matches. You can do a wholesale rejection on wether they will remarry a divorced person.

I've heard Missouri synod is good.

I would say make your best guess and then find out why people left that church and where they went if it isn't right.

The issue is you're looking for a church for the spiritual reasons, it appears. You don't go for how Christian they are. You go for the community. Does the community offer you young girls to match with your sons? Does the community have many niggers? Does the community have women that act and dress like women? Do they have social events, but not get bothered and gossip about you when you miss a weekend? Are there any management that have obvious faults like a drinking problem? Do you get hints of embezzlement? How do they treat kids as a community? Are they super pushy with donations?

The only way you will develop spiritually is of your own volition. Expecting a community or a man in a robe in a shiny building to govern or cultivate your spiritual journey is a vulgar and base thing to do.

I suppose the question really is what denominatons are the most likely to have good communities.

Check out the Orthodox groups. Anything non-Catholic will probably be alright though, frankly.

There is nowhere you can run evil will not follow. Better to learn how to defend yourself and combat it. The better strategy would be to stop tithing and apply those funds to learning the full depth of the Christian faith as best you can. Collect and read the books particular to your denomination. Look for books published prior to 1960 and dismiss any editions edited by females.

Take advantage of the online learning options to prepare yourself as well as your time permits. Learn to engage your pastors on matters of doctrine and faith. Destroy any attempt that they can make to assert that they are morally, ethically, or intellectually superior to anyone else in the community.

Missouri or Wisconsin Synod for Lutheran. Definitely not ECLA

You won't find one telling their political stances online, due to commie jew LBJ. If you're not familiar, do a web search for 501(c)(3).

I suggest trying different churches till you find one where you fit.
