Whilst overly dramatic I think you are still missing the point, making sure were are not pointlessly removing forests is just part of the idea, grasslands store CO2 too. There is a whole pile of stuff that needs doing simply to stop jew companies, agriculture and households polluting our land and seas.
The point is getting back to a position where are effect on the environment is sustainable, so that our effect on it is basically zero, so humans can keep doing whatever it is to sustain ourselves and still being able to do that in 200 years time.
