If you want to make a larger point you could call it an example of the laziness of public schools.
Based on replies its evidence of the sheer laziness of the educator responsible. The current US president is a Democrat if I'm not mistaken, but the test doesn't actually specificy that it is referring to Joe Biden. If it was written under trumps presidency, the answer would be republican, and the computer software would need to be updated every time an election changes things.
It should just identify the current president by name when asking for party membership

The problem is laziness.
HAND WRITE your own questions (for your own kids) and test them on things that actually matter. (hint the political party of the "current president" is fucking meaningless fodder and a waste of energy to learn, teach, and produce the question)
