Your issue is rooted in hedonism. You can only strive for instant pleasure. Delayed pleasure or the pain of struggling to learn something new is beyond you and billions more.
Behind hedonism is temptation for deadly sins. Sloth. Greed. Envy. Gluttony. Lust.
All you care about is the next hit of pleasure. Anything else is undesirable to you.
This has come about because Satan has been sending the compulsions known as temptations to you your entire life.
BTW temptation is a religious term subverted in mainstream use.

I played guitar for years, wrote a few songs. It occupied a decade of my life but it never improved it long term.
Music is a beautiful hobby but only a very few will make a living with it, and that is more tied into image and 'marketability' than talent or money in your pocket.
Personally I don't bother with therapists, I have an old acoustic in the shed for that.
Forget music. Hedonism blocks every new skill.
At some point learning hits a hard point and that hurts. Hedonist give up to instead go on to get an easy pleasure hit.
Hedonists never complete anything. It's a primary symptom
While I don't appreciate the Christcuckery, the underlying logic is sound.
Take the sprititualism out of it if you must.
Satan can be the manisfestion of mass psychosis.
