To say, in essence, that this may be the fault of an absence of white male leadership, is probably very accurate. Monkey see, monkey do, is a big part of who we are. We learn our real social values from our peer groups. If your children are not spending time with you, they will be spending time with someone else, and those are the values they will be learning. They try to usurp our leadership role with media. Media tells us we are bad and have no role to play. We need to assert our role more deliberately.
