Deception is not "smart business" except to people who's idea of smart is practicing deception. It's what separates whites from the rest of the world. Asians, Slavs, niggers, jews ... they all value cunning over integrity.

There is a better way of looking at it I think.

There is no such thing as deception. Magic tricks work not because the magician is being deceptive but because the audience wants to be deceived.

There are no lies on the packaging. There is only re-contextualizing of information and leaving information out. Without the ability to leave information out and without the ability to re-contextualize information humans would not be able to communicate.

To put it another way, just like you can teach someone to become a magician, you can teach people the skills necessary to not become deceived.

The question is always the same: why do people not spend the time to research just enough (it doesn't take much) so they are not deceived?
