I'm going to build a greenhouse either in the very near term or next spring. I'm thinking about building a 100ft long hoop house with plastic wrapping, but it may need to stand up to high winds. So, I may have to go with glass. In any case, what kind of greenhouse would you build if you ready to build one now?

it'll probably be about 100 feet long and 10 feet wide or so

nice, what are you planning on growing?

I guess that'll be too big for glass, some automated watering might be viable though

not 100% decided yet. Lots of cabbage, broccoli, and radishes and lettuce, probably green beans and various medicinal herbs. Oh yes, I've been dying to program a raspberry pi for this project. I want to experiment with aeroponics too.

I booted up a Pi yesterday, but realised it needed to download a million updates and I needed the PSU for something else.

Some port expander modules arrived though, so I'll have a play later

hydroponics looks like a neat idea, you have a bit more control over the nutrient supply
