This thread taught me something about Jews today. So now I know they are against corn syrup at passover. I don't feel like seeing if they have to avoid it on their other holidays. I've poured pure corn syrup on pancakes and waffles (I like the clear formula) better than Log Cabin syrup.
The most commonly used type, HFCS 55, consists of 55% fructose and 42% glucose. HFCS 55 is similar to sucrose (regular table sugar), which is 50% fructose and 50% glucose.
I'm going to use corn syrup whenever I want to, no Jewish holiday rules can stop me.
