I get real maple for not much more. 1 liter of 100% maple syrup is $10.99 and Log Cabin is $6.04 per liter.
We get most foodstuffs here really cheap. Except maple syrup. I think a liter of the stuff would be around $50. Obviously they don't sell liters of it.
Obviously they don't sell liters of it.
Why not? The stuff I get comes in liters. When you have 5-6 people eating a pancake/waffle breakfast every couple of weeks it actually goes pretty fast.
Because of the price point they sell in smaller units to trick people into thinking it isn't quite so expensive.
Sadly it works.
