Well congrats I was gonna say until hearing about your super. I do not miss big office jobs and after a few I starting aiming for the smaller companies. They have their own set of problems but people need to actually do their jobs there. You're not going to have worthless baggage and do-nothing idiots skating by in company with 30 people and the owner down the hall.
Yes, you’re right. I work out in the field, but it is a big, terrible company and NY is an undeveloped territory for them.
Biggest problem with the small ones is getting bought out. I had two great jobs I never would have left and both disappeared in one big unexpected announcement.
That happened to me in December, 1999. I was at a place I liked a lot and it got bought. I was there for 50 weeks and they scumbagged me on a severance package because I was like 10 days short of a year.
