Yes, if possible to hold and live in a town you do it

The issue is when the town cannot sustain itself and people will "need food", what to do ?

The reality is that current world population is sustainable because of good agriculture technology, storage, transport

If the above fails.... because "things go wrong" and we have idiots in comand, well, a town might not be the safest place where to live

and not the immediate vicinity of a town
