It doesn't react well to touch. The screen is mild at the highest settings. It tries so hard to make you keep reading even if you're done.

While I agree that the hardware is shit,e-ink displays sip power and are for reading text. If you expect more from it you will be disappointed .

arent kindles not lcd screens arent they like magenetic or ink base screens? i mean they can be only read with light they dont produce it themselves

It's an old school lcd screen can't make it brighter. Refreshes like being punched in the eyes. Kindle is a soccer mom purchase.
