haha guinea hens, though chickens eat ticks too, just not as many as the guinea hens do. guinea hens can be difficult to keep in a residential area though, they are prone to wander.

Ok, found some articles (Guinea Fowl and Pet Speckled Hen). They do look wild. Not easy to get here in Germany. We'll wait and see how we fare with the ones we have. Something tells me they don't mix well with regular hens. Could just be me being prejudiced, though.
