Vaxed Airforce & Airline pilots/staff are laid up in hospitals across the country suffering. Because high altitudes made the effects of the Vax even worse.

It's the same reason Biden's people backed down for the moment with military personal. Combined with the realization that a sizable amount of the soldiers were willing to call their bluff on the court marshals.
