I was at the municipal fireworks display in Madeira Bch Fl on the 4th about 30 years ago. They had a similar mishap and all the fireworks started blowing up on the ground. I saw 3 firemen run for their lives and literally dive into a bunker that they had dug into the sand. It looked like a scene from Viet Nam. As the smoke cleared I shouted "Great job Fire Chief!". 500 people screamed and laughed! The Fire Chief, about 50 and 5'6' 300 lbs came running out of the bunker in a rage screaming "who said that?! Who said that?!". Little teapot would have murdered me if he knew who it was. I wisely remained silent.

A chihuahua in a black mask was seen lurking and shivering in the area before the event occurred.

Someone missed a payday. Media would have paid for that footage.

I hope the techs are ok. That's a horrible accident
