I’m from Lexington VA, my mother was born in Stonewall Jackson’s house when it was the county hospital. It used to be a cool little town with some of the best southern lifestyle livin’ you could have. Besides VMI, there’s Washington and Lee University (my grandfather graduated with a law degree from there) a law and journalism school. That right should tell you what happened to that little town. Yankees and jews. In the early seventies it was an odd eclectic mix of good ol’ country hill folk, farmers, horse farms, bluegrass musicians, military men, professors, students, hippie communes, bootleggers, race track’s and did I mention bluegrass musicians? Holy shit some of best flat or finger pick’n guitars, banjos and fiddle rip’n bastards you’ll ever hear assembled there. Still to this day really from what I saw last there. What I also saw was not the kick ass little town and folk of my boyhood. It was the most fuk’d up libtard shithole commie politic’d hellhole you could imagine. The Scotts, German and Irish what settled that country before the Rev War would be ashamed of what their lands and kin have become. There are still good ol’ boys (despite the drug and alcohol addictions, think Jessco White types which is just a holler or three away in Boone County WV), but they are over run by DC lobbyist and govt employees with summer homes, Long March professors, carpet bag’n yankees along with every other lib shit scum of every flavor from up north. Within basically one generation that area turned full blown commie land. I took my poor lovely deceased mother back there some years back to bury her in the family plot, I wish I hadn’t now thinking back and seeing what has become of the area. Lot of cool American history in that part of Virginia with all the names you heard about in the creation and advancement of this nation. Incredible people with incredible skills and ideas. Gone now as if they never existed. My brothers and sisters....that’s some sad and fuk’d up shit.
