Just saying proteins or mRNA will not replicate on their own and will eventually break down.

I never even once said the mRNA will replicate on their own. I said the mRNA will direct the cells to produce the spike protein continuously and by putting it in PEG and adding the lipid membrane the mRNA doesn't naturally break down in the body. So what do you have? A rogue mRNA that doesn't break down. So if it won't break down it will continue to produce spike proteins. Now the question is how long does this modification keep it intact? Who knows, we're in uncharted territory now. We don't know how the body will respond to such a lab designed substitute.

Again, this is not natural mRNA at all so you can't even compare it to natural mRNA studies. That study is for natural human-produced mRNA. This mRNA was produced in a lab and modified in PEG, so it's not going to do what mRNA naturally does - break down in a few hours. They specifically formulated to so that it doesn't break down in a few hours. The

Once the mRNA is inside the cell it will no longer be covered by the lipids. Otherwise it would not be able to interact with the cellular machinery anyway.

So no it will not magically last forever.
