Got the news during the Mother's Day call - because I'm not vaccinated, I'm currently not welcome in certain places.

If that's the way they want to play it then fine.

Yet another offense by our favorite friends.

It'll be a cold day in hell before I take that vaccine.

When Time shall count from the date...

Fl Gov canceled ALL the mask orders in the state. I go to the supermarket and 98% of the sheep are still wearing masks.

THIS. This right here is extremely important. Did you ever wonder why everyone is always running around wearing pants? Well, there is a reason. Somthing like this happened and in that event everyone had to wear pants. It stuck. We still wear pants and dont even know why. In the future it will be the same.

People just kept getting all of their dicks ripped off all of the time, so pants were invented.

Some people here are starting to defy it, finally.

I moved to a more conservative area last fall.

No covid here.

But Canadians still trust the government, for the most part.

I have no problem with Voluntary mask use.

its nothing but a virtue signal. did you hear about the pastor getting arrested in calgary? I saw a guy today riding a bicycle in 90 degree heat wearing a mask. I almost turned around to shout at him.

I saw the arrest coming. He has no legal defense.

The real question is whether his followers will rise to support him strongly - a large public outcry still has serious deterrent value vrs the state in Canada - like how Ontario's Premier Ford backed off some of his total travel ban orders after the public freaked out.

Canadians are losing patience. Not yet ready to burn the country like the USA, but a lot of fear is now turning to anger. Anger is not yet rage.

There are now protests in multiple locations... marches are growing in size.

Alberta is particularly conservative, though I cannot speak for Calgary itself. Our "British" governing system is actually quite authoritarian, and always has been a police state.

Authoritarians are thugs who really only respect a hard punch in the nose. If they see that coming, then they back off. It's the only language they understand.
