I know 1 guy who was like me and wanted to get it and get it over with. His case was actually serious and he was hospitalized twice and very concerned he wouldn’t make it. My case was very mild. A friend’s mother died and may have had it but refused to go to the doctor or get tested (very early in the pandemic) I was also told a distant relative died from it as well as a friend of someone in my family. I know a bunch of people who had it and the cases were very mild. I’m only counting people who lost smell and/or taste because the testing has issues but that symptom is very distinct and different from anything I’ve ever experienced with any other illness.
